Wander Together

Wandering Roots was inspired by a deep love of movement, creativity and connecting more deeply with ourselves and the places our van has taken us.

We both grew up in Washington State and find home in the mountains and laughing our way down bumpy dirt roads. Meeting on the road created a foundation for a love of adventure and a curiosity that led us to living in six vans over four continents. Most recently living in a van in Australia for the entirety of 2019, we’ve learned a few things about nomadic lifestyles.

Alex has a deep passion for design and creating spaces where people feel at home and can be expressive in their passions. By consciously creating a small space to be beautiful and functional it allows individuals to explore the uncertainty of the road at peace.

Craftsmanship and integrity are the principles by which Charlie builds each aspect of the van. In a world where things are cut and paste together haphazardly, Charlie hopes to showcase the beauty of thoughtfully designed spaces with durability and livability at the forefront.

    If you’re reaching out via email you’re most likely going to chat with me first. Hi, it’s nice to meet you. I handle all of our design, budgeting, and on boarding. I’ll be on the calls helping you design your dream van, and making sure we have all the components, details, and build layout perfected before handing it off to Charlie.

  • Full Van Conversion Builder

    Charlie here, I’ll be the one building and bringing the van to life. I’ll be the one you chat with once you pick up your van and have any specifc questions about your systems. I install everything from top to bottom and make sure you have a dialed and road ready build.
